Description
- General description: Pharmaceutical secondary standards for application in quality control, provide pharma laboratories and manufacturers with a convenient and cost-effective alternative to the preparation of in-house working standards.Propyl gallate is a synthetic phenolic antioxidant (SPA) utilized in food additives to inhibit or regulate the lipid oxidation. SPAs are cost-effective, largely available and highly efficient in comparison to their natural counterparts.[1]
- Application: Propyl gallate may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations[2][3] and fatty liquids[1] by chromatography[2][3][1] and spectrophotometry.[3]
- Reconstitution: Prepare a 0.1M solution in glycerol:PBS (9:1)
