Description

  • Description: This 1A6 monoclonal antibody recognizes hemagglutinin-neuraminidase of Sendai virus
  • This clone has been successfully used in flow cytometry, immunocytochemistry and has been reported for neutralization
  • The CTS CytoTune-iPS 2.1 Sendai Reprogramming Kit and the CytoTune-iPS 2.0 Sendai Reprograming Kit utilize Sendai virus particles to deliver Yamanaka factors into target cells in order to reprogram them into induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSC)
  • Clone 1A6 can be used to detect the presence of the residual Sendai virus after transduction and subsequent tissue culture
  • Applications Reported: This 1A6 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis
  • Applications Tested: This 1A6 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of Sendai virus-infected cells
  • This may be used at less than or equal to 0.06 μg per test
  • A test is defined as the amount (μg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 μL
  • Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test
  • It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest
  • Sendai virus is a single stranded RNA respirovirus from the family Paramyxoviridae, which replicates in the respiratory tract and infects certain mammals, including mice, hamsters, rats and guinea pigs
  • The virus is highly contagious and in the wild is transmitted through contact with aerosolized respiratory secretions
  • The Hemagglutinin-Neuraminidase (HN) protein of the Sendai virus facilitates cell entry and infection by binding and cleaving terminal sialic acids present on many cell surface glycoproteins.
