- Description: The AER-37 monoclonal antibody reacts with the Fc epsilon RI alpha subunit, an IgE-binding subunit lacking signal-transducing ability
- Fc epsilon RI apha is expressed on mast and basophil cells and is upregulated by the presence of IgE
- Fc epsilon RI alpha forms a tetrameric complex with one beta and two gamma subunits
- The beta and gamma subunits possess immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motifs (ITAM)
- The Fc epsilon RI complex plays an important role in triggering IgE-mediated allergic reactions
- Applications Reported: This AER-37 (CRA1) antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis
- Applications Tested: This AER-37 (CRA1) antibody has been pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells
- This can be used at 5 μL (0.25 μg) per test
- A test is defined as the amount (μg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 μL
- Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test
