Description

  • Description: The monoclonal antibody 11A10-B7 recognizes mouse CD301b
  • CD301b is also known as macrophage galactose-type C-type lectin 2 (MGL2)
  • CD301b expression is restricted to dermal dendritic cells, connection tissue, and bone marrow derived dendritic cells
  • Macrophages also express CD301b at low levels
  • CD301b contains a single carbohydrate recognition domain that recognizes protein antigens that have a galactose and N-acetylgalactosamine (Gal/GalNAc)
  • Gal/GalNAc protein antigens are efficiently internalized through CD301b and presented to antigen specific CD4+ cells via MHC Class II
  • CD301b+ dendritic cells are believed to play an important role in TH2 priming
  • Applications Reported: This 11A10-B7 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis
  • Applications Tested: This 11A10-B7 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse skin draining lymph node cells
  • This can be used at less than or equal to 0.25 μg per test
  • A test is defined as the amount (μg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 μL
  • Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test
  • It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest
  • eFluor™ 660 is a replacement for Alexa Fluor™ 647
  • eFluor™ 660 emits at 659 nm and is excited with the red laser (633 nm)
  • CD301b is also known as macrophage galactose-type C-type lectin 2 (MGL2)
  • CD301b expression is restricted to dermal dendritic cells, connection tissue, and bone marrow derived dendritic cells
