Description
- Description: The KL-1 (aka SK31) antibody reacts with mouse Sema4A, a class IV semaphorin originally identified as SemB
- Sema4A is structurally similar to Sema4D/CD100
- Sema4A is reported to be expressed by dendritic cells, B cells and activated T cells
- Although published data suggested that Sema4A binds to Tim-2, a T cell surface receptor, it remains to be definitively shown that these two molecules have a receptor/ligand relation
- It is suggested that Sema4a can provide costimulatory signals for T cells
- This KL-1 antibody works in immunoblotting but requires non-reducing conditions
- Applications Reported: This KL-1 (aka SK31) antibody has been reported for use in immunoblotting (WB)
- Applications Tested: The KL-1 (aka SK31) antibody has been tested by immunoblot analysis of mouse Sema4A transfected cells under nonreducing conditions
- This can be used at less than or equal to 5 μg/mL
- It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest
- Purity: Greater than 90%, as determined by SDS-PAGE
- Aggregation: Less than 10%, as determined by HPLC
- Filtration: 0.2 μm post-manufacturing filtered
- SEMA4A is a member of the semaphorin family of soluble and transmembrane proteins
