Description

  • Store vial at -20°C prior to opening
  • Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage
  • Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing
  • Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature
  • This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid
  • Dilute only prior to immediate use
  • Anti-ARHGAP22 pS397 is specific for phosphorylated ARHGAP22 at Serine 397
  • It also recognizes the S22->A mutation but not the S397->A mutation
  • A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with Mouse, Rat and Human based on 100% sequence homology
  • Cross-reactivity with ARHGAP22 pS397 from other sources has not been determined
  • GTPase-activating proteins (GAPs) accelerate the intrinsic rate of GTP hydrolysis of Ras-related proteins, resulting in down regulation of their active form
  • ARHGAP22 (Rho GTPase activating protein 22), also known as RHOGAP2, is a 698 amino acid protein that localizes to the cytoplasm, and contains one Rho-GAP domain and one PH domain
  • ARHGAP22 functions as a GTPase-activating protein for Rac 1 converting it to an inactive GDP-bound state and, through its interaction with ZNF161 (VEZF1), is thought to be useful in transcription regulation
  • Multiple isoforms of ARHGAP22 exist due to alternative splicing events.
