- Description: This TX45 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD300c (also known as LIR)
- CD300c belongs to the myeloid-associated immunoglobulin-like receptor (MAIR) family of genes located on human chromosome 17, a syntenic region of mouse chromosome 11
- This 25-kDa type I membrane protein has a single extracellular Ig-like domain and a short cytoplasmic domain
- CD300c is expressed on subsets of T and B cells, NK cells, granulocytes, dendritic cells, mast cells, monocytes, and peritoneal macrophages, where CD300c mediates proinflammatory cytokine production
- This molecule has also been linked to the regulation of TNF alpha and IFN alpha secretion in activated plasmacytoid dendritic cells
- CD300c associates with the adapter protein DAP12, as well as the Fc gamma
- Applications Reported: This TX45 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis
- Applications Tested: This TX45 antibody has been pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells
- This can be used at 5 μL (0.5 μg) per test
- A test is defined as the amount (μg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 μL
- Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test
- eFluor™ 660 is a replacement for Alexa Fluor™ 647
- eFluor™ 660 emits at 659 nm and is excited with the red laser (633 nm)
- The CMRF35 antigen, which was identified by reactivity with a monoclonal antibody, is present on monocytes, neutrophils, and some T and B lymphocytes (Jackson et al., 1992 [PubMed 1349532]).
