Description

  • This 9B9 MAb reacts with human CD368, also known as Clec6 or ClecsF8 or Clec4D
  • In peripheral blood, this C-type lectin is expressed highly on granulocytes and CD14+CD16- monocytes
  • Some dendritic cell populations also exhibit low levels of CD368 expression
  • Studies have demonstrated that this receptor undergoes endocytosis due to its C-type lectin-like domain
  • CD368 functions as a phagocytic receptor and is involved in proinflammatory cytokine production in cooperation with Toll-like receptors
  • Finally, CD368 also participates in cellular activation via signaling through Syk kinase
  • This gene encodes a member of the C-type lectin/C-type lectin-like domain (CTL/CTLD) superfamily
  • Members of this family share a common protein fold and have diverse functions, such as cell adhesion, cell-cell signalling, glycoprotein turnover, and roles in inflammation and immune response
  • This gene is closely linked to other CTL/CTLD superfamily members on chromosome 12p13 in the natural killer gene complex region.
