Description

  • Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems
  • The expression systems are developed by cloning in the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits
  • Then, individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production
  • The advantages of using recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies include: better specificity and sensitivity, lot-to-lot consistency, and broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire
  • Anti-fluorescent dye antibodies recognize specific fluorophores and, in most cases, quench their fluorescence
  • Thus many anti-dye antibodies, including those that recognize fluorescein, can serve as cell-impermeant probes for determining whether fluorescent dye-conjugated ligands, proteins, bacteria or other biomolecules have been internalized by endocytic or pinocytic processes
  • The Alexa Fluor® 488 dye possesses near identical spectral properties and quantum yield to fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), but produces brighter, more photostable conjugates
  • These conjugates are used for imaging and other applications requiring increased sensitivity without being overly impacted by environmental factors.
