Description

  • Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration
  • For extended storage aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below
  • Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing
  • Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature
  • This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid
  • Dilute only prior to immediate use
  • This antibody is specific for bovine CCL2 protein
  • A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with CCL2 from bovine sources based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence
  • Partial reactivity is expected against Sus scrofa 85.5% and Bos Taurus 81.1%
  • Cross-reactivity with CCL2 from other sources has not been determined
  • This gene is one of several cytokine genes clustered on the q-arm of chromosome 17
  • Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes
  • The protein encoded by this gene is structurally related to the CXC subfamily of cytokines
  • Members of this subfamily are characterized by two cysteines separated by a single amino acid
  • This cytokine displays chemotactic activity for monocytes and basophils but not for neutrophils or eosinophils
  • It has been implicated in the pathogenesis of diseases characterized by monocytic infiltrates, like psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis and atherosclerosis
  • It binds to chemokine receptors CCR2 and CCR4.
