  • The RCR-252 monoclonal antibody specifically binds to the endothelial cell protein C receptor (EPCR), which is also known as CD201
  • CD201 is a 25 kDa, type I transmembrane glycoprotein, expressed on endothelial cells in arteries, veins and capillaries
  • CD201 binds activated protein C, a serine protease that is involved in regulating blood coagulation
  • EPCR is reportedly expressed on several malignant cell lines
  • Malignant cell lines that express EPCR can show significant levels of protein C activation and this activation can be inhibited by anti-EPCR antibody
