Description
- The WT.5 monoclonal antibody specifically binds to CD11b, the α subunit of Mac-1 found on neutrophils and myeloid cells, but not on lymphocytes
- Mac-1 expression is rapidly upregulated on neutrophils after activation, in the same time period that CD62L (L-selectin) is shed from the cell surface
- Mac-1 mediates adhesion to ICAM-1 (CD54) and C3bi
- Neutrophil binding to ICAM-1 is blocked by mAb WT.5
- The antibody is conjugated to BD Horizon™ V450, which has been developed for use in multicolor flow cytometry experiments and is available exclusively from BD Biosciences
- It is excited by the Violet laser Ex max of 406nm and has an Em Max at 450 nm
- Conjugates with BD Horizon™ V450 can be used in place of Pacific Blue™ conjugates.
