- NuMA (Nuclear Mitotic Apparatus protein) is a 2115 amino acid protein with a coiled-coil structure similar to that of myosins and intermediate filaments
- Indirect immunofluorescence assays indicate that NuMA's localization is very dynamic
- During interphase, NuMA is in the nucleus and during mitosis it moves to the polar regions of the mitotic spindle
