Description
- The B73.1 monoclonal antibody specifically binds to CD16, the 50-70 kDa low affinity receptor for IgG, IgG Fc receptor III (Fc γRIII)
- CD16 is expressed on NK cells, neutrophils, and on a subset of T cells from certain individuals
- The B73.1 antibody binds to CD16-positive neutrophils with lower intensity when compared with some other CD16-specific antibodies
- A variable number of CD16-positive lymphocytes coexpress either the CD57 antigen or low-density CD8 antigen or both
- The B73.1 antibody can block Fc receptor functions mediated by CD16
- The antibody was conjugated to BD Horizon™ BV421 which is part of the BD Horizon Brilliant™ Violet family of dyes
- With an Ex Max of 407-nm and Em Max at 421-nm, BD Horizon BV421 can be excited by the violet laser and detected in the standard Pacific Blue™ filter set (eg, 450/50-nm filter)
- BD Horizon BV421 conjugates are very bright, often exhibiting a 10 fold improvement in brightness compared to Pacific Blue conjugates.
