Description

  • Specifically detects CHIP Clone: in Drosophila, Hamster, Human, Monkey, Mouse, Rat samples, and it is validated for Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation CHIP is a U-box dependent E3 ubiquitin ligase and a co-chaperone protein that interacts with Hsc70 and Hsp90 regulating protein triage decisions between folding and degradation
  • This occurs through CHIP remodeling the complexes to favor substrate degradation thus providing a molecular link between the chaperone and proteosome machinery
  • CHIP has been reported to be involved in the degradation of c-ErbB2/c-Neu, the glucocorticoid receptor, and the cystic fibrosis transmembrane-conductance regulator
  • CHIP expression shortens the half-life of both the nascent and mature ErbB2 protein.
