Description

  • The PA1-73117 antibody reacts with soluble and structural antigens from whole bacterium Pseudomonas species
  • This antiserum is not absorbed and may cross-react with related microorganisms PA1-73117 has been successfully used in direct FA staining of target antigens in a permissive tissue culture system
  • Acetone fixation of the antigen source is recommended prior to staining
  • The PA1-73117 antibody was raised against whole cells of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, ATCC #27853
  • Short term storage of less than 6 months, store at 4oC, in the dark
  • For long term storage, store at -20oC
  • Although pathogenic bacteria constitute only a small portion of bacterial species, infectious diseases caused by pathogenic bacteria affect millions of people worldwide
  • Diarrheal diseases, many of which are bacterial, are the second leading cause of death worldwide, claiming an estimated 5 million people annually
  • Furthermore, an estimated 3 million people die of tuberculosis annually, 500,000 people die of pertussis, and 25,000 die of typhoid.
