- This antibody is predicted to react with rat based on sequence homology
- GAK serine/threonine kinase or Cyclin-G-associated kinase was originally identified as a protein that is associated with cyclin G
- However, neither CDK5 nor GAK kinase activity is activated by cyclin G nor does GAK affect CDK5 kinase activity
- GAK seems to act as an auxilin homolog that is involved in the uncoating of clathrin-coated vesicles by Hsc70 in non-neuronal cells
- Expression oscillates slightly during the cell cycle, peaking at G1.
