Description

  • A suggested positive control is NIH-3T3 cell lysate
  • PA5-20787 can be used with blocking peptide PEP-0901
  • SCAMPs, or secretory carrier membrane proteins, are membrane proteins that are widely distributed and play a role in membrane trafficking
  • Most SCAMPs, such as SCAMP1, have N-terminal cytoplasmic NPF repeats, 4 central transmembrane regions, and a short C-terminal cytoplasmic tail
  • These NPF repeats are likely involved in mediating endocytosis
  • However, other SCAMPs, like SCAMP4, lack the NPF repeats and are thus unlikely to function in endocytosis
  • SCAMP4 has been associated with diseases such as Neurodevelopmental Disorder With Brain Abnormalities, Poor Growth, And Dysmorphic Facies and Strabismus.
