- General description: 3-(2,4-Dihydroxyphenyl)propionic acid is a 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine (DOPA) analog.[1] It is a building block for heterocyclic compounds.[2]
- Application: 3-(2,4-Dihydroxyphenyl)propionic acid (DHPPA) may be used as substrate for the o-diphenolase in microplate assays of serum and hemocyte supernatants from QXR3 and wild type oysters for the quantitation of o-diphenolase activity.[3]
