- General description: 12:0 PA (1,2-dilauroyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphate) is a sodium salt of modified lipid, wherein C-1, C-2 of glycerol is substituted with didodecanoyl and C-3 of glycerol is substituted with phosphatidic acid group.
- Application: 12:0 PA (1,2-dilauroyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphate (sodium salt)) has been used as an internal lipid standard in the matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry (MALDI FT-ICR MS) analysis.[1] It may be used as a lipid standard: for the quantification of phospholipids by high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometryelectrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC/ESI-MS/MS)[2] for the quantification of lipids in cold-pressed rapeseed oils based on direct infusion electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry[3] in liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) analysis[4]
