- General description: N-Acetyl-L-tyrosine is an acetyl derivative of the amino acid, L-tyrosine. It is freely soluble in water compared to L-tyrosine and is commonly used as a parenteral nutrition supplement.[1]Pharmaceutical secondary standards for application in quality control, provide pharma laboratories and manufacturers with a convenient and cost-effective alternative to the preparation of in-house working standards.
- Application: N-Acetyl-L-tyrosine may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in bulk drug and pharmaceutical formulations by titrimetry[2] and high performance liquid chromatography.[3]
