Description

  • General description: Pharmaceutical secondary standards for application in quality control, provide pharma laboratories and manufacturers with a convenient and cost-effective alternative to the preparation of in-house working standards. Methyl oleate can be obtained as one of the products of transesterification of triolein with methanol in the presence of potassium carbonate loaded onto alumina as catalyst.
  • Application: Methyl Oleate may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations by gas-chromatography (GC) coupled to flame-ionization detector (FID).[1]
