Description
- Application: Interleukin-2 human has been used to assess changes in tumor necrosis factor receptor 1 (TNFR1). It has also been used in TNFR2 expression on Tregs.[1]
- Biochem/physiol Actions: Interleukin 2 (IL2) is a pro-inflammatory cytokine.[2] It consists of three subunits, in which the β subunit is important for receptor mediated signaling.[3] IL2 enhances the development of T regulatory cells[4] and plays a crucial role in antitumor immunity.[2]
- Physical form: Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in 50 mM sodium phosphate buffer, pH 7.0, containing 0.1% human serum albumin per 0.1 mL of cytokine.
- Analysis Note: The biological activity is tested in a cell proliferation assay using an IL-2 dependent murine cytotoxic T cell line, CTLL-2.
