- Application: 23:2 Diyne PE [DC(8,9)PE] or 1,2-bis(10,12-tricosadiynoyl)-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine has been used to form functional hybrid-liposomes.[1] It has also been used to modify single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs).[2]
- Biochem/physiol Actions: 23:2 Diyne PE [DC(8,9)PE] or 1,2-bis(10,12-tricosadiynoyl)-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine is a photo-polymerizable lipid.[1] It forms intermolecular cross-linking through the diacetylenic groups. Thus, preferred for the formation of hybrid-liposomes.[1]
