- General description: PI(3,4,5)P3 (diacylphosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate) is restricted to the cell membrane of inner leaflet. TopFluor® PI(3,4,5)P3 is a fluorescently labeled-phosphoinositide derivative containing saturated acyl chain.[1]
- Biochem/physiol Actions: PI(3,4,5)P3 (diacylphosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate) serves as a substrate for PTEN (phosphatase and tensin homolog), a tumor suppressor protein. It has binding affinity towards the active site of phosphatase domain. TopFluor® PI(3,4,5)P3 might be useful in monitoring protein induced phosphoinositide clustering. This product is considered photostable than other fluorophores.[1]
