- General description: IG7 is a ceramide analog.[1]
- Biochem/physiol Actions: IG7 is potent in enhancing Fas ligand (FasL) induced apoptosis in colon carcinoma cells SW480 and RKO. IG7 enhances FasL mediated phosphorylation of p38 and janus kinase (JNK). IG7 enhances nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) activation by FasL. IG7 exhibits low toxicity.[1]
