- General description: Ceramide-1-phosphate (C1P) is a ceramide-derived metabolite. It belongs to the class of bioactive lipid mediators.[1]
- Application: C18:1 Ceramide-1-Phosphate (d18:1/18:1(9Z)) is suitable for use in fluorescence analysis of phosphatidic acid-binding tetravalent peptide (PAB-TP) phospholipid specificity.[2] It is also suitable for use in liposome cosedimentation assay to compare its affinity with α-synuclein-N.[3]
- Biochem/physiol Actions: Ceramide-1-phosphate (C1P) regulates inflammatory response and phagocytosis.[4] It is also implicated in cell survival,[4] cell growth and death.[5]
