- General description: 4,4-Dimethyl-2-cyclopenten-1-one is an α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compound and was reported to exhibit the higher tumor-specific cytotoxicity against oral human normal and tumor cells.[1] 4,4-Dimethyl-2-cyclopenten-1-one was identified as one of the constituents in the essential oil of Tagetes minuta L by GC-MS.[2]
