This application leverages sebacic acid′s biocompatibility and biodegradability in advanced healthcare materials (Dai et al., 2024).Polymer gel technologies: Research demonstrates the ability to tailor the properties of poly(vinyl alcohol) gels through sebacic acid decoration, optimizing characteristics such as porosity and elasticity for various industrial applications, including medical and consumer products (Bandelli et al., 2024).High-performance materials: The synthesis and characterization of epoxy vitrimers incorporating sebacic acid have been explored. These vitrimers exhibit enhanced glass transition temperatures, making them suitable for applications requiring high thermal stability and mechanical properties in sectors such as automotive and aerospace (Dai et al., 2023).
