- Application: 3-Amino-1-propanol is often used as a molecular linker.[2][3] Generally, it can be used:In the preparation of polyurethanes[4] and poly(propyl ether imine) dendrimers.[5]As a key starting material in the total synthesis of (−)-ephedradine A[6] (orantine), (−)-and (+)-tedanalactam.[7]As a precursor to synthesize a variety of medicinally important compounds by selective O- or N-arylation and amidation of 3-amino-1-propanol.[8][9]
