Description
- General description: Pharmaceutical secondary standards for application in quality control, provide pharma laboratories and manufacturers with a convenient and cost-effective alternative to the preparation of in-house working standards. Methyl stearate is a saturated methyl ester and a representative key molecule of biodiesel fatty acid methyl esters (FAMEs) produced from vegetable oils. It occurs naturally in clove oil.
- Application: Methyl Stearate may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations by gas-chromatography (GC) coupled to flame-ionization detector (FID).[1]
