  • Application: Hydrobromic acid can be used as a brominating agent:For the regioselective bromination of anilides to bromoanilides.Oxidative bromination of olefins, alkynes, and ketones to corresponding dibrominated alkanes, dibrominated alkenes, and α-bromoketones.It can also be used as a catalyst for the aerobic photooxidation of alcohols to corresponding carboxylic acids.
