Description

  • General description: IgG antibody subtype is the most abundant serum immunoglobulins of the immune system. It is secreted by B cells and is found in blood and extracellular fluids.
  • Specificity: Binds all rabbit Igs.
  • Immunogen: Purified rabbit IgG
  • Application: Anti-Rabbit IgG (whole molecule)-FITC antibody produced in goat has been used in immunohistochemistry and indirect immunofluorescence.
  • Biochem/physiol Actions: Immunoglobulin G (IgG) provides protection from infections caused by bacteria, fungi and viruses. Maternal IgG is transferred to fetus through the placenta that is vital for immune defense of the neonate against infections. IgG1 deficiency results in hypogammaglobulinemia. IgG2 deficiency increases susceptibility to bacterial infections IgG3 mediates effector functions IgG4 are associated with asymptomatic infection. IgG antibody have enormous therapeutic potential and the Fc region is involved for the development of therapeutic antibody.
  • Other Notes: Antibody adsorbed with human IgG.
  • Physical form: Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, with 15 mM sodium azide as a preservative.
  • Preparation Note: Adsorbed to reduce background staining with human samples.
  • Disclaimer: Unless otherwise stated in our catalog or other company documentation accompanying the product(s), our products are intended for research use only and are not to be used for any other purpose, which includes but is not limited to, unauthorized commercial uses, in vitro diagnostic uses, ex vivo or in vivo therapeutic uses or any type of consumption or application to humans or animals.
