Description

  • Description: This YL15 monoclonal antibody recognizes human OCT1 (POU2F1) and is predicted to recognize mouse POU2F1
  • Applications Reported: This YL15 monoclonal antibody has been reported for use in western blot and immunocytochemical staining
  • Applications Tested: This YL15 antibody has been tested by western blot on HeLa wild type and POU2F1 knock-out lysate and NTERA-2 lysate
  • This may be used at less than or equal to 4 μg/mL
  • This YL15 antibody has been tested by immunohistochemical staining of cultured A549 cells
  • This may be used at less than or equal to 1.25 μg/mL
  • OCT1 (POU2F1) is a ubiquitously expressed transcription factor that binds to the octamer motif (5'-ATTTGCAT-3') and activates the promoters of the genes for some small nuclear RNAs (snRNA) and of genes such as those for histone H2B and immunoglobulins
  • It modulates transcription transactivation by NR3C1, AR and PGR
  • In case of human herpes simplex virus (HSV) infection, POU2F1 forms a multiprotein-DNA complex with the viral transactivator protein VP16 and HCFC1 thereby enabling the transcription of the viral immediate early genes.
