Description

  • Description: The 11-44-2 monoclonal antibody reacts with the alpha heavy chain of mouse IgA
  • It does not react with other classes of mouse immunoglobulin including IgD, IgG or IgM
  • IgA is expressed as a membrane-bound form as well as a soluble dimer
  • Fluorochrome conjugated 11-44-2 is used as a detection secondary for mouse IgA
  • Applications Reported: The 11-44-2 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis
  • Applications Tested: The 11-44-2 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis to detect a mouse IgA primary antibody
  • This can be used at less than or equal to 1 μg per test
  • A test is defined as the amount (μg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 μL
  • Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test
  • It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest
  • Filtration: 0.2 μm post-manufacturing filtered
  • Mouse IgA is an immunoglobulin A antibody that is produced by B cells in response to an antigen
  • It is a crucial component of the mucosal immune system, which protects the body from pathogens that enter through mucosal surfaces such as the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and urogenital tracts
  • Mouse IgA is composed of two heavy chains and two light chains, and it is the most abundant immunoglobulin in mucosal secretions
  • It plays a vital role in neutralizing pathogens and preventing their attachment to mucosal surfaces
  • Mouse IgA is widely used in research and diagnostic applications, including ELISA, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry.
