- Phosphorylation of threonine and tyrosine in the Thr-Pro-Tyr domain is required for full activation
- Mitogen activated protein kinase kinase (MKK4) preferentially phosphorylates tyrosine 185, and MKK7 causes preferential phosphorylation of threonine 183.
