- Preparation: Produced from sera of goats immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human TWEAK
- Anti-Human TWEAK-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated
- Sandwich ELISA: To detect Human TWEAK by sandwich ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25-1.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required
- This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human TWEAK (500-P137G) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human TWEAK
- Western Blot: To detect hTWEAK by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/mL

- TWEAK has multiple biological activities, including stimulation of cell growth and angiogenesis, induction of inflammatory cytokines, in addition to stimulation of apoptosis
- The TWEAK signal transduction pathway has not been well established but it appears to signal via TweakR/Fn14 in a manner similar to that described for other TNFSF members that bind receptors lacking death domains.
