Description

  • Specifically detects HSD17B7 in Bovine, Hamster, Human, Mouse, Rat samples, and it is validated for Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry, Western Blotting 3-keto-steroid reductase (UniProt Q62904; EC 1.1.1.270, EC 1.1.1.62; also known as PRAP, 17-beta-HSD 7, PRL receptor-associated protein, Estradiol 17-beta-dehydrogenase 7, 17-beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase 7, Hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase 17 beta, type 7) is encoded by the Hsd17b7 gene in rat (Entrez Gene ID 29540)
  • Hsd17b7 protein is most abundantly expressed in ovaries of pregnant animals and functions both as a 17-beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (EC 1.1.1.62) in the biosynthesis of sex steroids, as well as as a 3-ketosteroid reductase (EC 1.1.1.270) in the biosynthesis of cholesterol
  • Anti-HSD17B7, is a rabbit polyclonal antiserum raised against native rat protein, and shows reactivity toward rat, human, mouse, hamster, and bovine species (PMID 1425419).
