Description

  • MA5-15257 recognizes native and denatured forms of RFP (Red Fluorescent Protein) and its many variants: DsRed, mCherry, mOrange, etc
  • MA5-15257 has successfully been used in immunoprecipitation, ELISA, Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry and immunofluorescence applications
  • MA5-15257 may be stored at 4oC short term
  • Add 0.05% sodium azide if desired
  • For long term storage, store at -20oC, avoiding freeze/thaw cycles
  • Red Fluorescent Protein (RFP) is isolated from sea anemone (Discosoma sp, Uniprot ID: Q9U6Y8), and commonly used as a molecular tag to study protein localization, reporter gene expression, and protein-protein interactions
  • Although it exists as a homotetramer, monomeric variants have been constructed for use in various applications.
