Description

  • PIM3 serine/threonine kinase or PIM-3 oncogene belongs to a family of protooncogenes
  • PIM3 is expressed in hepatocellular carcinoma development and plays a main role in the proliferation of human hepatoma cell lines
  • PIM3 also expressed in human pancreatic cancer cells and phosphorylates BAD to block Bad-mediated apoptosis in human pancreatic cancer cell lines
  • PIM3 is widely expressed, with the exception of no expression observed in colon, thymus, and small intestine.
