- Description: The monoclonal antibody GR-20 recognizes mouse CD119 also known as IFN gamma receptor 1
- CD119 heterodimerizes with IFN gamma receptor 2 (AF-1) forming the Class II cytokine receptor
- The ligand IFN gamma binds IFN gamma receptor 1 subunit but signal transduction transpires via the IFN gamma receptor 2 subunit
- The receptor is involved in host defense and expression is broad including B cells, NK cells, macrophages and dendritic cells as well as other non-hematopoietic cell types
- The GR-20 antibody has been reported to block IFN gamma binding to CD119
- Applications Reported: This GR-20 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis and functional assays (blocking cytokine binding to the receptor)
- Storage and handling: Use in a sterile environment
- Filtration: 0.2 μm post-manufacturing filtered
- Purity: Greater than 90%, as determined by SDS-PAGE

- In addition, defects in IFNGR1 are a cause of mendelian susceptibility to mycobacterial disease, also known as familial disseminated atypical mycobacterial infection.
