Description

  • Description: This R2.477 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD112 (also known as Nectin-2 or Poliovirus Receptor Related 2), a 60-65 kDa immunoglobulin-like transmembrane cell adhesion molecule
  • This cell surface molecule is expressed on hematopoietic cells, endothelial, epithelial, as well as tumor cell lines such as Jurkat, U937, and MCF7
  • CD112 is a ligand for DNAM-1 (CD226), a leukocyte adhesion molecule expressed on natural killer (NK) cells
  • Interaction between CD112 and DNAM-1 promotes NK cytotoxic activity, leading to tumor cell lysis
  • In addition to its role in tumor suppression, CD112 plays a cooperative role in cell-cell adhesion, particularly in the formation of adherens junctions between neighboring epithelial cells and fibroblasts
  • CD112 can form homophilic and heterophilic interactions to regulate contact inhibition of cell movement and proliferation
  • Finally, CD112 has been reported to be a receptor for herpesvirus entry into cells
  • This monoclonal antibody has been reported to block cell adhesion and herpesvirus entry
  • Applications Reported: This R2.477 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis
  • Applications Tested: This R2.477 antibody has been pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of human peripheral blood cells
