Description

- Helicase-like transcription factor belongs to the SWI/SNF family of proteins that exhibit dual helicase & E3 ubiquitin ligase activities and regulates transcription by binding to, for example, the SV40 enhancer and the promoters Serpin E1 and HIV-1
- The SMARCA3 gene product also plays a role in error-free post-replication repair (PRR) of damaged DNA, and in maintaining genomic stability by catalyzing Lys63-linked polyubiquitination of chromatin-bound PCNA.
