Description

  • Specifically detects Proline-rich Protein 14 in Human, Mouse, Rat samples, and it is validated for Western Blotting Proline-rich protein 14 (UniProt Q9BWN1) is encoded by the PRR14 gene in human (Gene ID 78994)
  • Proline-rich protein 14 participates in the tethering of heterochromatin to the inner nuclear periphery by associating with the nuclear lamina and attaching to heterochromatin through its binding partner, heterochromatin protein 1 (HP1)
  • After disassembly early in mitosis, Proline-rich protein 14 reassembles via binding to anaphase chromosomes through HP1, then via association with the nuclear lamina in telophase
  • PRR14 may thereby play a role in specifying HP1-bound heterochromatin for reattachment to the nuclear lamina at mitotic exit.
