- IL-2 is produced by activated T cells and has multiple functions that can affect the growth, proliferation and differentiation of many different target cell types including T cells, B cells, NK cells, monocytes and macrophages
- The immunogen used to generate the 5344.111 hybridoma was affinity-purified, recombinant human IL-2 protein
- This antibody is conjugated to BD Horizon™ PE-CF594, which has been developed exclusively by BD Biosciences as a better alternative to PE-Texas Red™
- PE-CF594 excites and emits at similar wavelengths to PE-Texas Red™ yet exhibits improved brightness and spectral characteristics
- Due to PE having maximal absorption peaks at 496nm and 564nm, PE-CF594 can be excited by the blue (488nm), green (532nm) and yellow-green (561nm) lasers and can be detected with the same filter set as PE-Texas Red™ (eg 610/20nm filter)
