Description

  • CSI 002-65-02 is highly specific for the low-calcium conformation of thrombospondin
  • There is no evidence for cross-reactivity with other connective tissue proteins (vitronectin, fibronectin, elastin, collagen, laminin)
  • CSI 002-65-02 cross-reacts with human thrombospondin
  • Other species have not been tested
  • CSI 002-65-02 has been successfully used in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry and Immunoprecipitation procedures
  • CSI 002-65 can also be used to probe for the low-calcium conformation of thrombospondin
  • The CSI 002-65-02 epitope is only present in thrombospondin prepared with low levels of calcium
  • NOTE: Concentration is lot-dependent and can vary from 0.85-1.15 mg/mL Thrombospondin is a protein from platelet a-granules
  • It is made up of three identical subunits bound by interchain disulfides
  • It is secreted at sites of platelet activation and aggregation and is involved in the processes of chemotaxis, adhesion, proliferation and differentiation of leukocytes, fibroblasts, smooth muscle and endothelial cells.
