Description

  • Reconstitute with 0.5 mL PBS containing 0.1% BSA
  • For long term storage the addition of 0.09% sodium azide is recommended
  • Prior to reconstitution, store at 4oC
  • After reconstitution, store undiluted at -20oC, avoiding freeze/thaw cycles
  • Rabbit anti Human Interleukin-19 antibody recognizes human IL-19 (interleukin-19), a 153 amino acid secreted helical cytokine belonging to the IL-10 family of regulatory cytokines, which is preferentially expressed in monocytes, but also expressed in B cells, and up-regulated in monocytes stimulated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) or granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF)
  • The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that belongs to the IL10 cytokine subfamily
  • This cytokine is found to be preferentially expressed in monocytes
  • It can bind the IL20 receptor complex and lead to the activation of the signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3)
  • A similar cytokine in mouse is reported to up-regulate the expression of IL6 and TNF-alpha and induce apoptosis, which suggests a role of this cytokine in inflammatory responses
  • Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the distinct isoforms have been described.
