Description

  • Antibody detects endogenous levels of GKAP only when phosphorylated at Ser25
  • The approximately 142 kDa Tankyrase protein is ubiquitously expressed in mammalian cells and is localized to human telomeres
  • It has homology to ankyrins and to the catalytic domain of poly (adenosine diphosphate-ribose) polymerase (PARP)
  • Tankyrase binds to TRF1 (telomeric repeat binding factor-1), which negatively regulates the maintenance of telomere length.
