Description

  • Specifically detects Gumby in Human samples, and it is validated for Western Blotting Ubiquitin thioesterase otulin (EC:3.4.19.12; UniProt Q96BN8), also known as Deubiquitinating enzyme otulin, Gumby, OTU domain-containing deubiquitinase with linear linkage specificity, Protein FAM105B, Ubiquitin thioesterase Gumby), is encoded by the OTULIN gene in murine species
  • Gumby belongs to the ovarian tumour (OTU) domain-containing protease family of deubiquitinases (DUBs) that catalyze the removal of ubiquitins from ubiquitinated proteins
  • Gumby is reported to associate with linear ubiquitin assembly complex (LUBAC) and counteract LUBAC activity by removing linear ('Met-1'-linked) polyubiquitin chains from substrate proteins
  • The gumby–LUBAC axis plays an important role in angiogenesis, craniofacial and neuronal development by regulating canonical Wnt signalling.
