Description

  • DIA 011-01-02 binds both membrane-bound MAC and fluid-phase SC5b-9 complexes from human, porcine, baboon and equine samples
  • DIA 011-01-02 has been successfully used in ELISA and IHC applications
  • This antibody is not recommended for Western blotting as the epitope is destroyed during the process
  • C5b-9 is also known as the TCC
  • TCC consists of C5b, C6, C7, C8 and C9
  • The complex forms transmembrane channels which displace lipid molecules and other constituents, thus disrupting the phospholipid bilayer of target cells leading to cell lysis by osmotic leakage
  • The complex contains neoantigens that are absent from the individual native components and the monoclonal antibody DIA 011-01 is directed against a neoepitope exposed in C9 when incorporated into TCC.
